SAMUEL PLAGNARD
Co-Founder, Managing Partner
Samuel has over 20 years’ experience in capital markets, structured finance and IB across Asia and Europe. He has been in Asia for more than 16 years; originating, designing and distributing financial solutions (hedging, investments and financing) targeting financial institutions (insurance and pension funds) as well as financial sponsors with exposure to the region. His career as a banker has been driven by entrepreneurial projects he successfully developed within international banking organizations where he held various senior roles.
MARK SMITH
Co-founder, Partner COO
Mark is a private equity professional and Booth MBA with global M&A experience. Mark was one of the original three employees of an Oaktree Capital Management-funded platform that started in London in 2016 and has since grown to a 2.0B valuation on less than 300M invested through M&A transactions and the organic standup of several new business units.
Associate Partners.
𝜏-PAM was initially founded by two partners who have been subsequently joined by 3 senior professionals in finance. The group of 5 partners either met at University of Chicago and/or worked together for years. After long successful careers in investment banking and in Private Equity, they decided to leave their job in 2023 and launch their own company to address the specific needs for liquidity solutions in Asian private markets.
They bring combined experience of over 75 years (i) in Capital Markets Solutions covering needs of both Global Financial Institutions and Financial Sponsors, (ii) in structured credit/specialty finance including Fund Finance, Real Asset financing, Strategic Equity Financing and (ii) in private equity investment and management firm.
